Employee suspension by airline following removal of black men from flight
Following a complaint over body odour, American Airlines removed many black customers from a flight and placed several personnel on leave.
Out of the eight passengers who were removed, three males sued the airlines on the grounds of alleged racial discrimination.
The airline released a statement that read, “We are holding those involved accountable.”
CEO Robert Isom said the incident was inappropriate in a statement to staff members.
The men claimed in their lawsuit that every black man on the airplane had been kicked off. They did not know one another.
