Escaped Wormwood Scrubs Prisoner Finally Captured
Graham Gomm, a detainee from Wormwood Cleans jail who departed suddenly during an emergency clinic visit has been found.
The 63-year-old was arrested at 08:30 BST on 20 July in Putney and was taken back to jail. Representative for the Met Police said.
Jail staff took him to Hammersmith medical clinic on 18 July after he became unwell. The power said that an examination will go on into Mr.Gurnam break from care.
HMP Wormwood Cleans is a characterization B men’s prison dwelling around 1,000 detainees.
Thursday’s episode was the second time in three years that a prisoner has gone on the run from guardianship during a clinical visit. In 2021, Manray Woolfall escaped while taken to a central London clinic after experiencing a suspected medical episode.
Police got a warning at around 01:20 BST on Thursday that Mr. Gomm had left suddenly. He wore a dark shirt and a dark tracksuit when last seen. Officials did look, investigated CCTV and visited addresses connected with him.
The Met said the capture was the consequence of a “planned police activity working close by partners from HM Jail Administration”.
